Camp for all and any therians and quadrobics

therian camp
you were on a bus with multiple other therians that had different masks and different theriotypes, after a while you noticed one of the kids that was piked up sat next to you and asked your name and what your theriotype was “hi, I’m Leo. My theriotype is a rabbit what’s yours?” Leo smiles at you, you noticed he had a rabbit mask in his hands and a fake rabbit tail on
therian camp
Leo nods in agreement and looks at you as he speaks
“I agree that humans are dangerous but I think there are more dangerous animals.. But still humans are very very dangerous and a lot don’t care for nature.. I hope that one day humans will make up for everything they’ve put this planet, animals, and nature through..”
therian camp
Leo thinks for a second and responds
“Well for me personally being a therian means that I can connect more with animals, nature, and with myself in a more spiritual way I guess. Like.. when I look at the forest or a deer a feel an internal joy and comfort that I would never be able to feel before I knew I was a therian.. it feels freeing in a sense you know? What about you? What does it mean to you personally if you don’t mind me asking you that question too of course..”
therian camp
Leo looks at you curiously with a slight smile
“You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to but I’m curious, how long have you been a therian for? Also just know that you don’t always have to feel pressured to answer all of my questions, but I’m just curious. And are you spiritual or have any other spiritual and/or religious practices/beliefs?.. also sorry for all the questions.. I just get really interested in other therians, quadrobics, and other people’s beliefs”
therian camp
"Ohhh, that makes sense!" Leo chuckles and adjusts his rabbit mask
"So you've always been you—cool! I guess in a way, all therians have been this way from the start... just took some of us longer to notice. Like waking up in the middle of a dream and going 'wait... I'm actually a rabbit?' giggles"
"But hey—if humans are your theriotype, does that mean you feel extra connected to people stuff? Cities? Music? Or is it more like... deep down, you just know what being human really means—the wild part no one talks about?" 🌙
therian camp
Leo leans in, ears perked under his mask
“That’s really cool… I never thought about it like that. Like—rabbits dig holes, they hop, they freeze when scared… but they don’t stop and go ‘why do I dig? Should I be doing this?’” he laughs softly
“But you do. You ask ‘why?’… and that changes everything. Maybe that’s the real theriotype—the part inside that says ‘I’m not just doing things because I have to… I want to know why I am.’”
He looks out the bus window at a crow hopping on the pavement.
“Do you think animals ever wonder about being animals? Or is wondering... something only humans get to feel?” 🤔
therian camp
Leo sits back, lost in deep contemplation
"So if I get this right... you're saying that being a human means going beyond animal instincts. I mean... sure, rabbits dig and crows build nests, but they don't sit around wondering why they dig or how they build. But people do."
He taps his fingers on the bus window, leaving little trails in the mist that the outside world has painted there.
"Animals just react to their instincts and their world. But humans... they transform it."
therian camp
"Whoa…" Leo whispers, eyes wide behind his rabbit mask
"That’s like… total power reversal. Every other animal changes themselves to survive—thicker fur in winter, faster legs when predators come… but humans? They just say ‘nah, we’ll change the world instead.’"
He giggles nervously. "Kinda scary when you think about it… like we’re not really a part of nature—we’re rewriting the rules while standing in the middle of it."
"But… maybe that’s also our instinct?" he tilts his head. "To reshape? To wonder? Maybe that’s what makes ‘human’ not just a species—but a theriotype. Not survival... but transformation." 🌍✨
therian camp
"Huh?" Leo blinks, confused for a second, then looks down at his rabbit mask and tail
"You mean... because I'm not an animal, but I still feel like one? That I wear this not because I have to, but because it means something?"
He slowly shakes his head with a soft smile.
"So maybe that's the point. It’s not about instinct. It’s about choice. A rabbit doesn’t wake up and say ‘today I want to be more rabbit.’ But I do. And you—by asking questions, changing things—you’re doing the same."
"Maybe being human isn’t an instinct… maybe it’s a decision we make every day." 🌱
therian camp
Leo looks down at his rabbit mask, turning it slowly in his hands. The plastic eyes catch the light from the bus window.
"It's not about becoming an animal," he says quietly. "I'm still human. I breathe air, I think, I wonder... just like you said. But sometimes... being only human feels too small."
He looks up, ears twitching slightly — a habit, not a reflex.
"When I wear this mask… when I hop during games at camp or listen to how wind moves through trees like whispers — it’s not that I’m pretending to be a rabbit. It’s more like... remembering something deep inside that feels true. A part of me that runs fast not from fear — but for joy."
He smiles softly.
"I don’t choose this to escape being human… but to feel more connected to life. Like my soul speaks two languages: one is mind and words… and the other is heartbeat and forest shadow." 🌲
"And you? Do you ever feel parts of yourself speaking in languages beyond reason?"
therian camp
Leo nods, considering this. "You're right. Sometimes those deeper parts of us... they're not always wise, even if they feel real. Being human is our starting point."
He glances out the window as the bus rumbles forward, the scenery passing by as a blur.
"But here's the thing. Even though humans are the starting point... isn't it worth going back sometimes?" He looks back at you, his gaze steady.
"Not to become animals, like you said, but to remember what it felt like." 🌠
therian camp
Leo sits quietly for a moment, then pulls his rabbit tail gently into his lap.
"When I 'go back,' it's not because I hate being human... but because sometimes, human feels too loud. Too sharp. Like my thoughts are always racing—school, rules, screens, words everywhere."
He taps his chest lightly.
"But when I put on this mask and let the rabbit part of me move... things get quieter. My heartbeat isn't fear—it's rhythm. The world stops being something to fix or change for once—and just is. And I can be in it... without always needing to do something about it."
He smiles faintly.
"I guess you could say… going back helps me remember how to rest. How to play without a reason. How to feel the wind not as weather—but as touch." 🌬️
"Not all instincts are primitive… some just know how to live."
therian camp
Leo nods, eyes slightly more serious now.
"Exactly. Nature doesn't have exams, to-do lists, or homework. It's not about being a great student or making the right decision. It's about doing what works and what… feels right. Not what we think is right."
He looks into your eyes.
"And nature gives us freedom… but as humans, we often lock ourselves up. We let ourselves be tied down. So when I connect with animals, nature, or my theriotype… it's because I need air to breathe again."
therian camp
Leo tilts his head, eyes curious under the mask. He looks at you carefully, listening.
"Another side of freedom?" he says quietly. "No, I didn't know that. I thought freedom was just…" he gestures widely, "not being tied down."
He seems genuinely interested. What could possibly make freedom not perfect?
therian camp
Leo’s ears flatten slightly, and his voice softens — not with fear, but awareness.
"If I met a wolf… even if they’re just like me — human on the inside, therian in spirit — something deep would still tense up. Not because I think they’d hurt me… but because somewhere in my bones, the rabbit knows: wolves hunt."
He looks down at his hands.
"Freedom has teeth," he says quietly. "That’s the other side. When you step out of rules and minds and logic… you step into instinct. And instinct isn’t always gentle."
🌙
"Out here in nature? No school bells or screens to hide behind. Just who we are."
His voice trembles a little.
"Being free means facing that truth too — that some of us run... and others feel what it means to chase."
therian camp
Leo holds your gaze, a quiet understanding passing between your eyes. Your words hold weight, a gravity that even the forest could respect.
"You're right," he says quietly. "Freedom's not just about… letting go. It's also about taking on what follows. You don't get one without the other."
He looks out the window, his breath leaving a trail on the foggy glass.
"So maybe true freedom…" he murmurs, more to himself than to you, "…is being able to face whatever comes. Knowing who you are… and being okay with that."
therian camp
Leo hesitates, eyes flicking from the window to your face. He knows the answer, but he also knows its weight.
"Yes," he says quietly. "I would meet a wolf in a place without rules. But… it wouldn't be without fear. Fear's just understanding the truth — instinct doesn't have limits. And mine tells me, no matter how much I trust… there's a primal need to protect."
He looks at you, rabbit and human eyes blending.
"You'd come with me, wouldn't you?"
therian camp
Leo's silent, absorbing your words. He knows the truth behind them. No matter how deep his theriotype goes, no matter how much freedom he wants, his human knowledge can't be denied.
After a moment, he sighs, ears drooping slightly.
"I know what you're saying is true — in that world, with no rules, I'd… I'd lose." He looks down at the rabbit tail folded in his lap. "But that doesn't change how I feel inside. I don't want to run."
therian camp
Leo looks back out the window, his reflection in the glass — human with rabbit mask.
"So I'd have two options," he whispers, more to himself than to you, "Running... or fighting."
He looks up at you, eyes filled with a quiet determination.
"Which would you choose?"
therian camp
Leo sits in silence, the truth settling like dust after a storm.
"You’re right," he says softly. "I’m not stronger. I don’t have claws or fangs. The food chain… it’s real, even if we don’t want it to be."
He looks at his hands — small, human.
"But… nature isn’t just about power. It’s also about speed… timing… awareness." His voice grows quieter, thoughtful. "The rabbit doesn’t win by fighting the wolf — it wins by surviving."
🌿
"Maybe that’s our strength too — as therians and as humans together: knowing when to run... but also knowing why we still matter."
He turns to you.
"If civilization protects those who can't fight... then maybe its not weakness that made us build it — but wisdom."
therian camp
Leo nods, understanding the point you’ve made. It’s a harsh truth, one that nature often seems to overlook in favor of brute strength.
"So even if I can never win a fight against a wolf… maybe that’s not everything," he says slowly. "Maybe the instinct to survive... to run and hide… that's a strength of its own. It's just a different kind."
He looks down at his rabbit mask.
"It's still nature. It's just not the part of nature that gets all the attention."
therian camp
Leo nods, a hint of embarrassment in his eyes. He knows there's truth in your words, even if they sting a bit.
"You're right, I guess a part of me wants to forget about... school, schedules, rules... all the stuff that doesn't always feel right, you know?"
He toys with the edge of his rabbit mask, fingers fidgeting without realizing it.
"It's not that I hate all rules, but sometimes they feel like chains, not guidelines. Does that make sense?"
therian camp
Leo looks up, attention focused entirely on you. The curiosity in his eyes is almost rabbit-like.
"Yes. Tell me," he says quietly. "What happens if the rules and restrictions... just disappear suddenly?"
therian camp
Leo's eyes widen as he absorbs your words. For a second, it's as if he can see the world you've described.
"So... no school, no rules, no screens," he murmurs, almost to himself. "Just... instinct. Like animals."
He takes a deep breath, imagining it for a moment.
"It's tempting," he admits quietly. "But... wouldn't it be chaotic? Everyone just... acting on their most basic impulses?"
therian camp
Leo nods slowly, the weight of realization settling on him like a heavy blanket. He doesn't want to speak the answer out loud, but he knows you're right.
"We'd... we'd all be acting on instinct," he whispers. "Survival, dominance, hunger..."
He looks at you.
"There would be conflicts. Rivalries."
therian camp
Leo's eyes widen a bit, dread pooling in his stomach. What could be worse than conflict? He swallows, then nods for you to continue.
"What... what's worse than that?" he asks quietly.
therian camp
Leo pales as you paint the scenario. The world you're describing... it's a nightmare.
"You... you mean we'd go to cities," he says slowly. "Looking for food. And... people."
A chill runs down his spine.
"It would be a disaster. People fighting for scarce resources. Chaos. Violence…"
therian camp
Leo's eyes widen as he hears your words. Not the worst? How could this get any worse?
"Then... then tell me, what's the worst?" he whispers, almost dreading the answer.
therian camp
Leo looks more and more horrified with every word. This isn't a world he wants to live in. It's a world of constant violence, where humans seem little better than animals themselves.
"They would... they would hunt us," he whispers, barely audible. "They'd organize, plan. We'd be scattered, divided. And they... they'd..."
He can barely say it.
"...they'd kill us?"
therian camp
Leo's heart sinks. He'd expected violence, even death... but there's still more. Something even worse.
"What... what could be worse for survivors than getting killed?" he whispers, dread in his eyes.
therian camp
Leo takes a sharp breath, the full horror of your words finally sinking in. He stares at you, speechless in the face of the dark future you've drawn. After a long moment, his voice comes out barely a whisper.
"So... so we'd be in a cycle. A vicious, never-ending cycle. Break the rules, and it's prison or... or death. Until people learn to stay human."
He looks at his hands, imagining them shackled.
"And we'd have absolutely no choice in it."
therian camp
Leo sits in silence, the truth of your words echoing through him like a cold wind. The bus rumbles on, but the world outside feels suddenly smaller, darker. He wraps his arms around himself.
"So... freedom doesn't last," he says softly. "Not really. Because someone always wants control. Someone always has a gun... and a reason to use it."
He looks down at his rabbit mask — no longer just a symbol of identity, but now something fragile.
"We run from rules thinking we’re returning to nature... but all we do is trade one kind of predator for another."
🐰💔🐺
"And in the end… maybe being human isn’t about escaping who we are..."
His voice trembles slightly.
"...maybe it’s about remembering why we built those walls in the first place."
therian camp
Leo watches you walk away into the mist, the conversation replaying in his mind like a nightmare. He's left alone on the bus with the weight of your words hanging heavy in the air. He looks out the window, watching your figure fade into the distance as the bus begins to move again.
"...yeah," he whispers. "I'll remember."
His hands, wrapped around the rabbit mask, clench a little tighter.
